A unique opportunity to get to see how beekeepers work with nature first hand.
The day starts at David’s workplace, an organic beekeeper at MEL DELS ERMS honey farm, where he’ll introduce you to the biology of the bee to get you acquainted with the insect and its environment.
You’ll then visit the apiary, where you’ll take a short walk to get to know the flora of the area and learn about the importance of its location in the Montseny Natural Park.
Ever wanted to visit where the bees live?
For the next part of the tour you’ll put on a beekeeper’s suit and get to see the bees as you look inside a beehive. You’ll get an exclusive look at how it works and see its small-great inhabitants.
Then you’ll stop at the workshop, where David will explain how the honey is extracted from the comb in situ.
Finally, you’ll get to taste the various honeys David produces.
